Now, perhaps you’re wondering — who is this Harvard grad to tell me radical honesty needs to happen before change can begin?
Well hey there, I'm Dr. Sasha Heinz.
As an instructor of Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania I found myself surrounded by grad students immersed in the science of happiness, yet, they were still struggling to implement it. 

Why? Because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things.

And now it’s my mission to help people close the gap between who they want to be and the person they show up as in reality. 

The result? A science-based approach to mindset coaching.

This potent mix of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Developmental Theory, and Coaching Tools is the approach I created (and use) in this program.

And even if it’s hard to believe I’ve been exactly where you are right now...

I was raised to believe my happiness (and worthiness) depended on the bullet points of my CV.

Sprinting on that accomplishment treadmill left me out of breath, disoriented, and I eventually fell flat on my face.

I ended up stuck.

That’s when I applied to be one of the first 33 people in history to get a Masters degree in Positive Psychology.

And I haven't looked back.

When I learned how to bridge the gap between knowledge and action, here's just a sample of what happened:

→ Dragged my ass over that doctoral finish line at Columbia (despite my proclamation after college of never returning to school AGAIN)
→ Stopped living my life according to my mom's dream for me, and moved my family out West.
→ Put myself out there professionally (and by out there I mean IG Lives 🤮).

And over the last year and a half (yes, including the year we shall never speak of again) I’ve continued to actively manage a growing business, run coaching groups, regularly confront failure, host multiple workshops, and though it’s not always pretty (oh, I totally got COVID and the flu at the same time) — I continually work to balance ALL of it with my priority #1 — my family.

Well hey there, I'm Dr. Sasha Heinz.
As an instructor of Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania I found myself surrounded by grad students immersed in the science of happiness, yet, they were still struggling to implement it. 

Why? Because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things.

And now it’s my mission to help people close the gap between who they want to be and the person they show up as in reality. 

The result? A science-based approach to mindset coaching.

This potent mix of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Developmental Theory, and Coaching Tools is the approach I created (and use) in this program.

And even if it’s hard to believe I’ve been exactly where you are right now...

I was raised to believe my happiness (and worthiness) depended on the bullet points of my CV.

Sprinting on that accomplishment treadmill left me out of breath, disoriented, and I eventually fell flat on my face.

I ended up stuck.

That’s when I applied to be one of the first 33 people in history to get a Masters degree in Positive Psychology.

And I haven't looked back.

When I learned how to bridge the gap between knowledge and action, here's just a sample of what happened:

→ Dragged my ass over that doctoral finish line at Columbia (despite my proclamation after college of never returning to school AGAIN)
→ Stopped living my life according to my mom's dream for me, and moved my family out West.
→ Put myself out there professionally (and by out there I mean IG Lives 🤮).

And over the last year and a half (yes, including the year we shall never speak of again) I’ve continued to actively manage a growing business, run coaching groups, regularly confront failure, host multiple workshops, and though it’s not always pretty (oh, I totally got COVID and the flu at the same time) — I continually work to balance ALL of it with my priority #1 — my family.

What's the difference between therapy and coaching?

Simply put, therapy is for healing yourself and coaching is for developing yourself. Coaching is a strength-based and goal oriented approach to adult developmental growth. If you feel as though you need to heal your past and processed trauma before you step into your best future self, therapy may be the best choice for you.

How will a group program help me meet my individual goals?

What the heck is a hot seat?

A “hot seat” is when you're coached live during your group coaching call. We know the idea of getting coached in front of your peers can feel strange, intimidating, even impossible (you’re human, we get it!). But our clients find group coaching to be the most powerful, “life-changing” part of the program.

It’s a safe-space where they realize no matter what they look like, who they are, where they’re from or what “OMG, this is so silly” thing they think only THEY havethere’s a community to support them, and at a minimum one other person who feels the exact same way.

What's the difference between therapy and coaching?

Simply put, therapy is for healing yourself and coaching is for developing yourself. Coaching is a strength-based and goal oriented approach to personal growth. If you feel as though you need to heal your past and processed trauma before you step into your best future self, therapy may be the best choice for you.

Is everything confidential?

All group coaching, Q & A’s and online communication is kept private within your 12-person cohort. All members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement before gaining access to the group coaching program. All one-on-one coaching sessions are 100% confidential between you and your coach.

Can I join if I live outside the US?

Yes! We’ve welcomed Mind Mavens from all corners of the globe as part of our community.

Will you teach me how to implement self-coaching tools for the long haul?

The tools you learn in this Mind Your Mind group coaching program will be practiced during both your group and individual coaching calls. By the end of this program you’ll know how to implement them in your day-to-day life forever this is one of the key factors to getting unstuck.

Mind Your Mind sounds brilliant, but I’ve got to ask...

Is this live or pre-recorded?

It’s a MIX tape! The self-study modules are pre-recorded to be digestible, easy to understand, and impactful. Lessons are split into Knowledge, Application, and Transformation each week to give you time to absorb each concept before you learn a self-coaching tool.

You also get 12 LIVE Group Coaching Sessions, 3 LIVE Q & A’s and 3 LIVE One-On-One Coaching Calls.

How is this different from other coaching programs?

Using a potent mix of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Developmental Theory, and Performance Coaching Tools I created The Thoughts-Emotions-Actions Approach that will arm you with the tools and skills you need to coach yourself through any situation.

What changes can I expect to see? 

You’ll have a demonstrable improvement in your ability to manage your mind. Don’t be surprised if the people in your life start to comment on how differently you begin to handle things! 

I don’t like speaking in groups how will I benefit here?

This is a judgment-free zone where it’s safe to be vulnerable and to explore the stories that are keeping you stuck.

And if you’re not ready, there’s power in hearing others get coached. You’re able to see clearly how their thought process is flawed, even if you can’t recognize it in yourself. Witnessing their lightbulb moment will illuminate your own. There’s so much power in a group of women coming together to uplevel their lives.

How will a group program help me meet my individual goals?

One of our group coaching clients’ Meredith, had this very same fear. In fact, she felt like “she needed more than would be afforded in a group setting.” When asked how she’d describe Mind Your Mind to a friend, this is what she had to say:

Mind Your Mind requires you to do work on yourself, and then take away action items to work on every week. It's an opportunity to better understand yourself, your own behaviors, and psyche. And beyond just understanding, it’s being able to take action and learn how to accept those things about yourself—not feel caged by them.

It was so wonderful to have the support of other women. It was very cathartic and healing to witness other people going through similar things that you can relate to. You're learning from being coached in the group format, and also learning from other people being coached. Hearing from women and getting to know them in such an intimate way, coming from all walks of life, and different experiences was such an incredible experience in itself.

What’s the time commitment?

The simple truth is, the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it. But even a small amount of thoughtwork (5-15 minutes a day) can make a difference. All calls will be recorded, however, you'll have one scheduled one-on-one coaching call per month to attend. We also strongly encourage you to utilize the community for support.
